The story of Lions began as a dream of Tailon Ribeiro back in 2014, in the municipality of Belford Roxo, a small town in the lowlands of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Tailon opened his first store in his mother's backyard, shortly after completing his military service. His dream started on dirt roads, with lots of dust from the streets, marking a turning point in his life to begin his new story from scratch. However, the uncertainty about the future was not enough to demotivate him, as he always had his goal very clear in his mind: to become the owner of the largest used car dealership in Brazil.
It opened its first branch at Rua Carlos Marques Rollo N°358 in Mesquita/RJ.
Lions Car changed its name to Lions Seminovos, focusing its sales on used vehicles of different brands and with expansion plans.
It opened its second branch at Rua Carlos Marques Rollo No. 137, in Nova Iguaçu, with a better quality infrastructure and bringing a service differential to customers in Nova Iguaçu and surroundings.
It opened its third branch in the municipality of Duque de Caxias/RJ, on Rodovia Washington Luiz N°1375 - Parque Duque - Duque de Caxias, being the first store with a concessionaire structure. With a courtyard that holds more than 100 cars.
It held its first Feirão in February. This being the year that also reached exponential sales growth, becoming the sales leader in the state of Rio de Janeiro.
In 2020, Lions Seminovos opened its fourth branch on Estrada Intendente Magalhães, in the largest commercial center for car sales in Latin America.
In 2021, we opened our Operations Center, located in Jardim Gramacho, where our preparation sector is located, responsible for inspecting our vehicles before sending them to our stores. In addition, we ended the year reaching all the main points of Greater Rio, opening our fifth branch in Niterói. Located at RJ 104, 2620, Baldeador Niterói, it has become our store with the best infrastructure in the region, with a patio that can accommodate up to 200 cars.
In 2022 we took a big step in our journey. We left the great Rio and accepted the challenge of being present in the south of the state. Located at Rua Antônio Luiz Pires, S / N - Boa Vista, Barra Mansa, opposite Dutra, we built our largest store with the intention of having the largest variety of cars in the South Fluminense region and thus being able to serve all customers in this region well.
At the end of the year 2022, Lions Seminovos acquired its headquarters, located on Avenida Brasil (RJ). In 2023, the company opened its first store in the West Zone of Rio de Janeiro, in Campo Grande. Located at 2211 Rio do A Street, the new branch continues the commitment to deliver the best car buying experience in the market, now to a new audience, but always with the same mission: to help more and more people fulfill the dream of a new car.
In 2023, the Lions Seminovos story gained a new chapter: Lions Pre-Owned. We began writing this new phase in North America, far away from our homeland. We planted our first pin on West Colonial Drive in Orlando, Florida. We arrived to leave our mark in this state so rich in natural beauty and filled with magic and dreams.
To accompany this expansion, we were compelled to change our motto because the dream has only grown. So, we arrived at our new inspiring phrase: Lions first, THE PLANET IS OURS!
